I recently came across Tom Asacker. Tom who?
Tom is a "branding guru."
Tom's article reinforces the concept that your stories about yourself and your company are more memorable and meaningful than your facts, figures and data.

The one idea that keeps raising its head over and over, is this:
your brand is your story; your story is your brand.
So here's the question:
are your customers going to remember you by your "stuff" or your "story?"
Stuff...or, story?
It's your choice.

I attended business and personal growth seminars. The testimonials definitely added a punch to the pitch. The personal story is what made me remember their product or book. The personal story is persuasive because I heard first hand experience. Yes, a good story that is truly heartfelt is convincing.
I even chose my chiropractor because I read his personal testimonial in a newspaper ad. He was injured and that led him to seek something that would help him. Because it worked so well, he decided that was the profession he wanted.
way cool! thanks for the link! very insightful essay. i also added the book, A Clear Eye for Branding to my list :)
as for Zaadz, i think people would remember Zaadz because of the cool stuff and the stories of the people behind the company as well as, and more importantly, the collective stories of the people in this meaningful social network :)
btw, i used the link for this too :) thanks!
It’s clear that Zaadz is also creating a new “story.”
When I produce a film for a client, a new story begins to unfold; a new vision.
New opportunities begin to unfold.
Story is a “no-brainer.” We’re hard-wired for story since day-one.
Great post, Tom! thanks for sharing.
